Our Re-opening and Safe Return Guidelines

Updated: Dec 5, 2020

Dear RMC Family,

Your health and safety as well as that of our staff is our top priority as we prepare to implement guidelines set for a phased approach in resuming RMC clinic operations. We are sincerely thankful for every one of you who have reached out to us during this time, sent notes of encouragement, or simply extended patience and grace as we navigate a global pandemic.

As we look forward to reopening, it is important to reiterate that we will proceed with an overabundance of caution. As a country, and here in Texas, we are still not out of the woods with regard to the spread of the coronavirus. Our collective efforts are helping to flatten the curve; however, we still have a long road ahead, and our guidelines for reopening do indeed reflect this position and will require your continued patience and understanding.

With guidance from federal, state and local government, as well as theCDCandWHO, our staff and medical advisory board have established guidelines to ensure we maintain a safe environment. A gradual ramp up over the next two to three weeks will initiate Phase 1 as early as this week. As a current patient, here is what you can expect:

Phase 1 – Virtual check-up and medical assessment questionnaire.

You will receive an email or call from a RMC staff member to set up a virtual appointment and check-up. A series of questions have been formulated by our staff and advisory board that is designed to help us assess potential risks associated with any changes in the patient’s health since his or her last visit.

Patients who have recovered, are currently recovering, or who think they may be experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 will require a more in-depth medical assessment to help ascertain any ongoing risk.

Phase 2 – Appointment rescheduling and office visits

To maintain the highest-level of distancing possible, there will never be more than three people in the clinic at one time, patients and staff included.

  • Please arrive at your designated appointment time. It is imperative that you arrive at your scheduled time, not before or after. There will only be one patient in the clinic at a time. Again, we request your patience as we work to safely see everyone as soon as we can do so while also minimizing risks.

  • Patients will not be allowed to wait in the reception area. When you arrive, you will need to call the clinic from the parking area and a staff member will meet you at the front door of our clinic.

  • Temperatures will be taken at the front door before entering. Patients with a temperature above 100.4 degrees will be rescheduled for a later date.

Phase 3 – Resume normal clinic operations and hours.

With regard to this pandemic, there often seems to be more questions than answers. We don’t know when or how “normal” operations will begin. You can rest assured, however, that we will continue to stay on top of developments and keep you posted. Your health and safety are paramount, and we are committed to serving each of you with that in mind.

Additional information:

  • We have added new protocol levels for disinfecting and sanitizing.

  • Additional ventilation and air filtration measures have been instituted.

  • Masks will be required for any person entering the clinic. If you are unable to bring your own, we will provide one for you.

  • You will not be able to bring any guests with you to your appointment.

  • We kindly ask you to leave as soon as your visit ends so that we can clean and prepare for the next patient.

  • Rescheduling will be conducted via phone or email.

  • Adhere to social distancing guidelines by limiting conversation and avoiding direct contact with others whenever possible while in the clinic.

Please do not hesitate to call or email with any questions you may have. We are here to serve you and as always ensure your time with us is comfortable and beneficial to your health. We will all get through this together.
